Uninstall Security Updates
To uninstall the latest security update on your Windows system, follow these steps. Please note the differences between Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Open Settings
- Click the
Start
button or press theWindows
key on your keyboard. - Click the
Settings
gear icon, or pressWindows + I
to open the Settings window.

Navigate to Update & Security
- In the Settings window, select
Update & Security
. - In the Update & Security section, click on
View update history
.

Uninstall Updates
- In the View update history section, click on
Uninstall updates
at the top of the page. - In the Installed Updates window, look for the most recent security update. These are typically labeled as
Security Update for Microsoft Windows
followed by a KB number (e.g.,KB5006670
). - Select the update you want to uninstall and click the
Uninstall
button.
You may be prompted to restart your computer to complete the uninstallation. Save any open work before proceeding.
